Supra Reborn?

Being a Toyota enthusiast and owner of several mid 90’s Toyota’s, I could not have been happier when I heard the news and saw a few images of the new Toyota Supra concept. Toyota took a step in the right direction in 2011 with the Toyota 86, so I thought to myself, maybe just maybe this concept would materialize into something us Supra fans have been waiting over a decade for. So here’s a list of  short questions /answers relating to what we should expect if this dream was to ever become a reality:

We are calling it the Supra but what is it really? For now the word is that it will be the FT1 – ( Future Toyota 1 )

Still a twin – turbo beast with power on tap? Highly likely that the FT1 will run a  Hybrid setup but claims are that Toyota wish to make the car a 500hp + machine

Front wheel drive? NO – As confirmed by GT 86 chief engineer Tetsuya Tada they expect it to be rear wheel drive.

Transmission? Can we get a show of hands for Manual transmission? Unlikely …

Price? Early reports indicate a starting price of AUD $80,000
